<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Before diving into the product itself, it is worth understanding what the IP68 rating really represents — because not all &#8220;waterproof&#8221; claims are equal.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A standard SMA or BNC connector, perfectly adequate for a laboratory bench or an indoor rack, is not designed to survive prolonged outdoor exposure. The failure modes are well documented: moisture ingress causes oxidation of the contact surfaces, which increases insertion loss and degrades signal quality progressively. UV radiation degrades the dielectric and outer materials. Temperature cycling — from winter lows to summer highs — causes repeated mechanical stress at the interface.
