1. LED Driver ICs
The WORLDSEMI driver IC range covers a very wide spectrum, from single-wire to five-wire signal, with various packages: SOP8, SOP10, SOP12, SOP14, SOT23-8, MSOP8, DFN8, CPC8. All references are available in white or black housing.
Among the flagship references:
WS2811 — The reference 3-channel driver, voltage 3.3 V to 48 V, current 16 mA × 3, compatible with SOP8, SOT23-8, MSOP8 and DFN8 formats. Available in S version (low voltage 3.3–5.5 V) and C version (high current 32 mA × 3).
WS2818A / WS2818B — 3-channel driver with redundant signal (breakpoint resume / dual-signal), ensuring strip continuity even if one LED fails. Voltage up to 24 V.
WS2814A / WS2814B / WS2814C / WS2814D — 4-channel drivers for RGBW configurations, with refresh frequencies up to 4 kHz, voltage up to 48 V.
WS2805 — 5-channel driver with redundant signal, ideal for RGBWW or multispectral configurations.
WS2913 / WS2914 / WS2915 — High-resolution 16-bit drivers + 5-bit current adjustment, for ultra-fine colorimetric rendering and precise brightness management. Up to 5 output channels (RGBWW).
WS2801 — Legacy driver with 2-wire protocol (clock + data), voltage 3.3 V to 5 V, still widely used in heritage installations.
2. Integrated digital LEDs — RGBIC series (Digital RGBIC LED)
This is WORLDSEMI’s flagship range: LEDs with built-in integrated circuit, in packages ranging from 5050 to 1313, including 3535, 2427, 2121, 2020 and 4020. The major innovation is the adoption of flip-chip technology (倒装工艺), without bonding wire, which drastically improves lifespan, thermal dissipation and colorimetric uniformity.
WS2812 series — The world reference for individually addressable LEDs. The new generation WS2812B-V6/V7 integrates bidirectional communication technology (IO intelligent switching), static power consumption below 1 µA, and a full 3.3 V driver equivalent to 5 V output, enabling energy savings of over 30% compared to a standard 5 V supply.
WS2813 series — Evolution of the WS2812 with internal capacitor, reverse polarity protection, overvoltage protection, and above all the redundant signal (dual-signal): if one LED fails, the chain continues to operate.
WS2815 series — Designed for 12 V DC supplies (9.5–13 V), with built-in redundant signal. Available in 5050, 3535 and 2121. Ideal for large professional and architectural installations.
WS2816 series — The premium high-resolution range: 20-bit resolution (65,536 grayscale levels), port scanning frequency at 4 kHz, static power consumption of 0.6 µA (1/1000 of the market average), and a record thickness of 0.3 mm thanks to flip-chip — comparable to the thickness of an A4 sheet. Available packages range from 1313 to 5050.
WS1010 — Flip-chip RGBW LED in a 1 mm × 1 mm, 0.3 mm thick format: the smallest RGBW component in the industry. Lifespan tripled compared to wire-bonding technologies, high color rendering index (CRI) and excellent uniformity.
3. Constant current ICs — LDO series (WS76xx)
The WS76xx range offers high-precision constant current regulators for single-color LED strips, in 0805, 1206 or bare flip-chip die packages. Available currents: 10, 15, 30, 45 and 60 mA, for a maximum voltage of 20 V. Low dropout, starts from 0.5 V VF, suitable for long LED chains.
4. Complete LED strips (LED Strip)
WORLDSEMI also offers a complete range of finished LED strips, ready for installation:
- RGBIC strips (WS2811, WS2812, WS2813, WS2814, WS2815, WS2816, WS2818) at 5 V, 12 V and 24 V, from 30 to 144 LEDs/meter
- COB (Chip-on-Board) single-color strips, high density from 312 to 1,600 LEDs/meter, from 5 V to 48 V, with Ra ≥ 90
- Dual-color CCT COB strips with color temperature adjustment from 2,700 K to 6,500 K
- RGB, RGBW, RGBCW COB strips for architectural or stage lighting
- RGBIC COB strips (chasing color effects) with integrated WS2811 or WS2818 ICs
